How to use Laskurikeskus
Laskurikeskus is a collection of free calculators that work directly in the browser without installation or registration. Choose the tool you need from the top menu or the front-page list, enter the values and read the result. Below are general instructions that apply to all the calculators.
- Choose a tool. Use the top menu, the front-page grid or the mathematics calculators overview page.
- Enter the values. Decimals can be written with a comma or a period. The result usually updates immediately.
- Read the steps. In many mathematics tools you can open the intermediate steps to support learning.

Syntax in the mathematics tools
The mathematical calculators use a consistent notation. A power is written with a caret (x^2), the multiplication sign can be omitted (2x = 2*x) and functions are written with brackets (sin(30), ln(10), sqrt(50)). The constants pi and e are written pi and e. In trigonometry, remember to select degrees or radians.

The computing happens in the browser. Calculation history and, for example, the net worth calculator's data are stored only in your own device's memory (localStorage) and are not sent to a server.
